CONSTRUCTION 22-gauge steel, low-proŢ le housing (1.0"H x 1.5"W) works in conjunction with a slim Low-ProŢ le Fluorescent Battery Packs AC ballast to convert new or existing low-proŢ le Ţ xtures into emergency lighting. Dual-voltage input capability (120V or 277V). Operates most 16W-40W (2'-4') T8, T10 or T12 ţ uorescent lamps without integral starters, including U-shaped, energy saving, and (4-pin) compacts. Compatible PSL400 with most one, two, three or four-lamp electronic, standard, energy-saving and dimming AC ballasts. Battery pack wires two ways: on night light circuit (permanently energized) or on switchable circuit (unswitched circuit to battery charger and switched circuit to the Ţ xture ballast). Battery pack will strike "normally off" lamp. Produces 350-450 lumens initial emergency light output. ELECTRICAL Constant current-type charger. High-efŢ ciency, push-pull inverter is the most effective method of converting DC power to AC power. It provides maximum light output, battery life and reliability. INSTALLATION Low-proŢ le size (14.1"L x 1.5"W x 1.0"H) allows mounting in lighting Ţ xtures with limited space inside Ţ xture wireway for clear appearance and protection against vandalism. Mounting centers 13.7". Test switch and pilot light included. Battery: Sealed, maintenance-free, high-temperature, nickel-cadmium battery. Ensures long life over wide temperature ranges.
