Diversified Technology cPS-8161, 8U general purpose PSB system platform includes an enclosure, backplane, two power supplies, fan tray, and chassis management modules
Once you accept your quote and confirm your order, we prepare by retrieving related parts and components from our inventory. Anything we do not currently have in stock is sourced.
Upon receipt, all parts are visually inspected for damage and then photographed to document their condition. Parts acquired from vendors must meet our quality standards.
Industrial computer boards and other parts we are equipped to evaluate are tested to verify functionality and discover possible damage.
Industrial computer boards have all components with low MTBF numbers (such as capacitors and connectors) replaced and are washed in our PCB cleaner to remove dust and grime.

Industrial computer boards have all I/O connections rigorously tested to ensure that everything is working properly before the board is certified as ready to ship.
After photos are taken to document the exterior condition of the part, it is packaged and sent to the customer. ESD-safe materials are used to protect sensitive equipment on its journey.

The cPS-8161 rugged, enclosure features a 16-slot backplane with two dedicated 10/100/1000 Ethernet switched fabric slots, two system master and twelve node slots. Accepting 6U cards at the front and rear, the backplane provides two CompactPCI bus segments as well as support for the H.110 computer teleph- ony bus for high density computing. All slots are served by redundant fabric connections, allowing for full system fail-over in the event of fabric failure. Backplane interconnect speeds are user-definable and scaleable from 10Mbps to 2000Mbps per node slot allowing users to cost effectively grow as the need arises. The hot-swappable fan tray provides 360 CFM of front cooling and an optional 120 CFM of rear cooling, provides efficient bottom and front front-to-top cooling, and coupled with three N+1 redundant, load-shar- ing 200W AC or DC 47-pin connector power supplies, creates a highly available, high density computing environment. The cPS-8161 supports a PICMG 2.16-compliant switched fabric blade such as the DTI cSB-4240 Ethernet layer 2/3 Switch.
