✄ VMIACC-0579 ® CompactPCI Rear Transition Board ✪✄✰✮✄✯❊❘�✄✬❙◗❚❊❘ • Transitions parallel port, two USB ports, two serial ports, IDE and ţoppy ® signals from CompactPCI J3 and J5 connectors to standard I/O connectors on the VMICPCI-7761 • Provides one DB-25 parallel port connector • Provides two DB-9 serial port connectors • Provides two standard USB connectors • Provides enhanced IDE 40-pin connector • Provides 34-pin ţoppy disk drive connector PHOTO NOT AVAILABLE • IEEE P1101.11 compliant • CompactPCI Rev. 2.1 compliant • 6U height, 80 m minimum depth INTRODUCTION — The VMIACC-0579 is designed to be used in conjunction with the VMICPCI-7761 CompactPCI single-board computer (SBC). The VMIACC-0579 mounts in the rear transition area of the backplane and provides access to the USB, serial, parallel, enhanced IDE and floppy disk connectors by way of the J3 TRADEMARKS and J5 connectors. The VMIC logo is a registered trademark of VMIC. The CompactPCI J3 and J5 connectors carry all CompactPCI and PICMG are registered trademarks of PCI associated signals from the 6U front mount SBCs through the Industrial Computer Manufacturers’ Group. Other registered backplane to the VMIACC-0559 J3 and J5 connectors (see trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Figure 1). IDE and floppy peripherals can be accessed either through on-board headers when an integrated system is required or through the rear panel CompactPCI connectors. HEADERS AND CONNECTORS — The two serial ports use DB-9 connectors. The IDE and floppy are standard 40- and 34-pin header connectors, respectively. The parallel port is a standard Ordering Options DB-25 female connector.
