MODEL 8512PE 12-SLOT PCI/EISA RACKMOUNT RUGGEDIZED INDUSTRIAL CHASSIS DOC #2360 PCI/EISA HIGH PERFORMANCE PASSIVE KEY FEATURES BACKPLANE CHASSIS The passive backplane, consisting of three PCI, one CPU, and eight Three PCI and eight EISA bus slots provide high performance EISA slots, combines the high performance EISA bus and the capability for use with today's high performance CPUs exceptional I/O performance of the PCI local bus (33MHz with a 32-bit datapath and a burst mode of 132MBytes/sec.) making this chassis Full function 32-bit address and data busses ideal for data acquisition, telecommunications, process control, and video/graphic applications. Full support of industry standard expansion boards CHASSIS AND POWER Encased in a painted heavy gauge steel chassis 7"H x 19"W x 20"D, the 8512PE is vibration and shock proofed to operate in the harshest Filtered high performance cooling system environments. Peripheral mounting bays are individually shock- mounted for reliable operation under extreme conditions. The 8512PE chassis is equipped with an autoswitching 250-Watt or a 350-Watt Operates with extreme vibration and shock power supply with an AC input voltage range from 90-264 VAC servicing both U.S. and international power sources. Also provided is a Positive pressure drive bays 48VDC 350-Watt power supply with an extended input voltage range of 35-74VDC. Card hold-down bracket FLEXIBILITY/RELIABILITY The 8512PE chassis design allows easy top access to CPU and controller cards. The removable drive cage also makes servicing a snap. Standard latching door; system-locking optional Front access is provided for two 5.25" x 1.63" removable media while two 3.5" x 1.0" hard drives may be mounted internally. Pre-approved EMI-RFI and safety certifications; This chassis offers the optimum in flexibility and durability. The U.S. and International passive backplane permits easy upgrading as system requirements change. Dual knockouts for DB-9 and DB-25 connectors are located on the rear of the chassis to save I/O bracket space. o Burned in at 55 C and system tested before shipment The 8512PE chassis is designed and tested to work in environments up o to 55 C. The newly designed filtered cooling system will keep the unit High Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) running cool in the harshest environments. A removable front filter is easily maintained. Texas Micro Inc., an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer, has been designing and manufacturing industrial computers and components since 1975. A founding member of PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group (PICMG), a standards setting organization for PCI passive backplane technology, Texas Micro developed the industry’s first PC compatible computers using passive backplanes. The company offers a full line of rugged rackmount, benchtop, and mobile computer systems, CPU cards and add-on peripherals; and telecommunications/internetworking servers. Texas Micro's products are manufactured in the USA specifically for industrial automation, computer telephony integration, and other mission critical, high reliability applications. GO TO SOURCE
When I can't find an obsolete part, I first call GID and they'll come up with my parts every time. Great customer service and follow up as well. Scott emails me from time to time to touch base and see if we're having trouble finding something.....which is often with our 25 yr old equipment.
