Orient the bracket with respect to the cylinder so that the locking screw is readily accessible. 2. Slide the switch into the bracket with the cable end toward the center of the cylinder. When mounting switches on rotary actuators, ensure that the driving piston in the cylinder being pressurized is used for signaling. The pistons are not attached to the gear rack and this can sometimes allow the piston on the exhaust side to lose contact with the end of the rack and move ahead of the actual rotation. 3. 17000-xx-5 Switch Brackets: Hook the nut over one tie rod and push the assembly against 17000-xx-5 the cylinder until the free side snaps over the other tie rod. Tighten the screw until the Switch Bracket nut contacts firmly under the tie rod. Finally, loosen it sufficiently to enable the switch and bracket assembly to slide along the cylinder tube. 17000-xx-0 Switch Brackets: Hook the bracket over one tie rod and push assembly against the cylinder until the side with the set screw rests against the other tie rod. (Make sure the set screw is clear of the tie rod.) Tighten the set screw until it contacts firmly underneath the tie rod. Loosen the screw sufficiently 17000-xx-0 for the switch and bracket assembly to slide along the cylinder tube. Switch Bracket 4. Locate the switch assembly where required for a position signal and lock in place by tightening the locking screw. (This step is normally performed after all electrical connections have been made. The LED indicator will then show at what point the switch gate actually closes.) 7-19 (800) 624-8511 SOLUTIONS FOR INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION CAT-03 www.phdinc.com/products/switchesandsensors 7 ORDERING DATA: SERIES 5580 PROXIMITY SWITCHES TO ORDER SPECIFY: CABLE LENGTH Type, Cord Type, Sensing Circuitry, 02 - 2 meter length cable CORDSETS Design No., and Cable Length. Orient bracket with respect to cylinder so that set screws are located on the most convenient side. 2. Slide switch into bracket with end containing LED indicator toward center of cylinder. When mounting switches on rotary actuators, make sure that the powered piston is used for signal. Pistons are not attached to the gear rack which sometimes allow the piston on the exhaust side to move ahead INDICATOR LIGHT of the actual rotation. 3. Hook bracket over one tierod and push assembly against cylinder until the side with the set screws rests against the other tierod. (Make sure set screws are clear of tierod.) Tighten set screws until they contact firmly underneath the tierod. Then loosen enough to enable switch and bracket assembly to slide along the cylinder tube. 4. Locate switch assembly where desired and lock in place by tightening the set screws. (This step is normally performed after all electrical connections have been made. What makes Elite.Parts unique?

chervon down
At GID Industrial (Elite.Parts' parent company), we specialize in procuring industrial parts. We know where to find the rare and obsolete equipment that our customers need in order to get back to business. There are other companies who claim to do what we do, but we're confident that our commitment to quality and value is unparalleled in our field.

What kind of warranty will the 18430-002-02 have?

chervon down
Warranties differ by part and by which suppliers we use to procure it for you. Sometimes, a part will be sold as-is and without a warranty. Our specialty, single board computers, tend to receive a one-year warranty.

Which carriers does Elite.Parts work with?

chervon down
Elite.Parts can ship via FedEx, UPS, DHL, and USPS. We have accounts with each of them and generally ship using one of those, but we can also ship using your account if you would prefer. However, we can use other carriers if it will be more convenient for you.

Will Elite.Parts sell to me even though I live outside the USA?

chervon down
Absolutely! We are happy to serve customers regardless of location. We work with international clients all the time, and we are familiar with shipping to destinations all across the globe.

I have a preferred payment method. Will Elite.Parts accept it?

TERRIFIC RESOURCE

This company has been a terrific help to us (I work for Trican Well Service) in sourcing the Micron Ram Memory we needed for our Siemens computers. Great service! And great pricing! I know when the product is shipping and when it will arrive, all the way through the ordering process.

When I can't find an obsolete part, I first call GID and they'll come up with my parts every time. Great customer service and follow up as well. Scott emails me from time to time to touch base and see if we're having trouble finding something.....which is often with our 25 yr old equipment.
