CardBus adapter card The 2851 is a PC/104 Plus expansion card that provides a single PC card (also known as PCMCIA) or CardBus slot. The single CardBus socket is compliant with the PC Card Standard (Rev 7.2). The slot accepts 8–, 16–, or 32–bit PC expansion cards. These are small, about the size of a credit card, and are also known as PC card and CardBus cards. They can be either Type I, Type II, or Type III format. The socket has an ejector button for easy removal of cards. The socket supports both 5V and 3.3V cards. A CardBus card is connected through the PC/104 ENVIRONMENTAL & POWER: Plus connector as a PCI device and provides higher ◆ –40° to 85° C operating performance than the 16–bit PC Card.
