It More Features features 256 MB RAM, AC97 sound and four USB 2.0 host ports. The processor is combined with the CS5536 I/O companion chip, which integrates GoldCap for backup many standard PC peripherals. Together with a Super I/O, the Cool LiteRunner 2 Flash BIOS forms a complete PC. It can be expanded using the PC/104 connector or the built-in RoHS compliant miniPCI slot. LiPPERT offers a line of spezialized miniPCI cards, too; check the website for available types. Two independent LAN controllers make the Cool LiteRunner 2 an easy choice for applications like managed bridges and industrial automation. The Cool LiteRunner 2 comes with an integrated graphics controller that shares its graphics memory with the sytem memory. (UMA) It handles both, VGA monitors and digital TFT panels (18 bit parallel or 24 bit LVDS), selectable via jumper or BIOS settings. Other interfaces are floppy disk adapter, PS/2 keyboard and mouse, parallel printer and three serial ports are integrated on-board, too. Two of the serial ports can be configured for the RS232 or RS485, the third is RS485-only. A GoldCap buffers the real time clock. There are eight freely usable I/O pins for application defined signals, available on a flat cable connector. The ATA-66 compliant EIDE interface connects storage devices. A CompactFlash adapter allows devices without moving parts. The Cool LiteRunner 2 comes with 256 MByte RAM soldered to the circuit board, assuring mechanical stability. Troubleshooting is easy with supervision LEDs for power, watchdog, Ethernet and application-defined life signalization on the module. The PC/104 bus allow system expansion with many commercially available peripheral I/O boards.
