SmartWire-DT / PROFINET Gateway Real-Time Ethernet Gateway EU5C-SWD-PROFINET Highlights Easy PROFINET integration as modular IO device Rapid push button based on-site commissioning Effortless PROFINET Controller configuration with GSDML file Full support of 99 SmartWire-DT stations As modular PROFINET IO device the gateway integrates any subordinate SmartWire-DT network into PROFINET. Each SmartWire-DT station is represented as a subsequent slot in the IO device. The cyclic process data is exchanged transparently in between both networks. 1000 bytes of process input/output data can be exchanged with up to 99 SmartWire-DT stations. The gateway is easily commissioned on-site by pushing a configuration button to save the actual scanned SmartWire-DT network constellation as expected configuration. On each power cycle the gateway rescans the network and compares actual and expected configuration and gets gets opera- tional on PROFINET if both configurations match. A PROFINET GSDML file is provided with gateway. It contains the gateway parameters and all SmartWire-DT stations as configureable modules. A file import into the PROFINET controller‘s engi- neering tool enables the user to commission the gateway on PROFINET. In the scope of delivery the software SWD-Assist may be used to plan, dimension and document a SmartWire-DT network offline.
