The Generator works in conjunction with Finisar’s GTX Traffic Analyzers to allow users to generate and view detailed network responses. GTX-G allows users to send frames via point-to-point or fabric connections. The Generator will perform login, negotiate credit management and generate valid or invalid traffic, at full line-rate. The receiver side detects and counts frame errors while checking for out of order frames. GTX-G was designed from the outset to be flexible, while providing designers with the high speed necessary for today’s 2Gbps environments. GTX-G remains compatible with Finisar legacy GT-G 1Gbps Generators. This provides testers the familiarity they like with the added performance they need. The GTX-G has been designed so that anyone can create or edit a configuration file without accessing generator hardware, and then export it.
