The handle posi- tion conveniently indicates circuit status. In addition to providing conventional overcurrent protection, it’s 1.53 1.53 simultaneously used as an on-off switch. [ ] [ ] 38.86 38.86 Series Switch Only Shunt and Dual Coil .23 Shunt Trip [ ] 5.84 The shunt trip is designed for controlling two separate loads with one assembly. The control is established by 1.53 providing overload protection for the critical load. [38.86] 1.38 When the current through this load becomes excessive [35.05] and reaches the trip point, the protector will open and remove power from both loads simultaneously. The total current rating of both loads must not exceed the Shunt Dual Coil maximum contact rating. Tapped Coil .23 [5.84] 1.53 [38.86] 1.38 [35.05] 30º Tapped Coil Note: Tolerance ± .015 [.38] unless noted. 91 APG/UPG/IPG Configurations Dimensions in Brackets [ ] are millimeters. APG/UPG/IPG CONFIGURATIONS (CONT’D) Relay Trip Relay and Dual Coil This permits the overload sensing coil to be placed in a .23 [5.84] circuit which is electrically isolated from the trip contacts. The coil may be actuated by sensors monitoring pressure, .61 [15.50] flow, temperature, speed, etc. Other typical applications include crowbar, interlock and emergency/rapid 1.38 1.53 shutdown circuitry. Trip may be accomplished by [35.05] [38.86] voltage or current, which must be removed after trip. Dual Coil Relay .23 [5.84] Relay and Four Terminal Dual Coil with Screw Terminal .61 [ ] 15.50 1.53 1.38 [38.86] [ ] 35.05 30º (TYP.) Auxiliary Switch .295 Auxiliary Switch .312 [7.49] [7.92] This is furnished as an integral part of a series pole in single or multi-pole assemblies. Isolated electrically from the protector’s circuit, the switch works in unison with the power contacts and provides indication at a remote location of the protector’s on-off status. Voltage Trip Sometimes called “dump circuits” or “panic trip circuits,” these units make it possible to open main power contacts with lower power inputs from one or more sources. This configuration is becoming increasingly more important .110 .187 for sensitive circuitry and denser packaging in automation [4.75] [2.79] systems. Available in series, shunt, or relay configurations. -1 REC 4 -1 REC 5 -1 REG 4 -1 REG 5 Quick Connect Quick Connect Terminals Terminals C NO Series with Auxiliary Switch NC All auxiliary switch terminals .020[.51] thick Standard auxiliary switch is REC 4. Frequently asked questions

What makes Elite.Parts unique?

chervon down
At GID Industrial (Elite.Parts' parent company), we specialize in procuring industrial parts. We know where to find the rare and obsolete equipment that our customers need in order to get back to business. There are other companies who claim to do what we do, but we're confident that our commitment to quality and value is unparalleled in our field.

What kind of warranty will the UPG6-1-72-203-01 have?

chervon down
Warranties differ by part and by which suppliers we use to procure it for you. Sometimes, a part will be sold as-is and without a warranty. Our specialty, single board computers, tend to receive a one-year warranty.

Which carriers does Elite.Parts work with?

chervon down
Elite.Parts can ship via FedEx, UPS, DHL, and USPS. We have accounts with each of them and generally ship using one of those, but we can also ship using your account if you would prefer. However, we can use other carriers if it will be more convenient for you.

Will Elite.Parts sell to me even though I live outside the USA?

chervon down
Absolutely! We are happy to serve customers regardless of location. We work with international clients all the time, and we are familiar with shipping to destinations all across the globe.

I have a preferred payment method. Will Elite.Parts accept it?

chervon down
All major credit cards are accepted: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We will also accept payment made with wire transfer or PayPal. Checks will only be accepted from customers in the USA. Terms may available for larger orders, upon approval.
