VBrick Systems 7500-0248 DME VIDEO CONFERENCE STREAMING GATEWAY MODULE An optional license that can be added to the H.264 Distributed Media Engine (DME). The license enables a SIP Users Agent (UA) function. Once enabled, DME can be included in a video conference as another SIP endpoint. The DME can be invited into a call by the VC camera & codec or the MCU. In addition, the DME can initiate the SIP call into the conference. THE DME ingests the video from the video conference element, converts the formats for streaming and delivers it to the rest of the VBrick Systems ecosystem. Once in the ecosystem it can be streamed to thousands of users to multiple devices types, it can be recorded and stored for future playback. The DME will still deliver all of its core functions for media redistribution, media transformation and VoD content serving & storage. Considerations: Requires DME R3.0 software of higher. A maximum of 60 video conference streams can be handled concurrently varies depending on DME model (12, 30 & 60 respectively). The video conference equipment must support SIP & H.264 the solution is not H.323 compliant. The solution has been tested with solutions from LifeSize, Polycom & Tandberg specific models available upon request. While the DME supports industry standard SIP & H.264 it is advisable to test with each new vendor s solution to assure interoperability.
