Description
Single-Channel Transponders - The primary function of the single-channel transponder units is to convert the client signal to the appropriate CWDM wavelength. Thanks to Transmode's patented iWDM function with automatic protocol and bit-rate detection, one transponder type can be used to deliver a broad range of services, such as SDH/SONET, Ethernet, Fibre Channel, ESCON and Video. For additional cost-effectiveness, we have made 2 versions of the transponder available with 2.5Gbps and 1.25Gbps line rates. System capacity can be easily increased by adding transponder units, one at a time, without impacting existing traffic.
