Hand Tools Tensioners/Plastic Lightweight units with operating flexibility Signode offers a variety of hand tools for tensioning and sealing plastic strap. For some strapping operations, a manual tensioner and separate sealer provide an economical means of applying plastic strapping. Metal seals are used to form the strap joint. Manual tensioners Feedwheel type A serrated feedwheel grips the strap- ping and rotates to draw up slack. Fast and easy to position and use. Take-up is unlimited, and strapping may be used directly off the coil. STD With cutter. Windlass type Applies tension by gripping one end of the strapping and winding the other around a slotted shaft. Can apply greater tension than feedwheel models. WHD, WTD-2 High tension, with cutter. Walking gripper Lightweight tensioner/cutter designed for buckle applications with plastic strapping. Provides maximum tension with Steelock or Dylock buckles. DLT For buckle applications.
