Ohmitrol Power and Motor Speed Controls are solid state Solid State Power Controls units which provide an infi- nitely smooth power control PCA models for AC outputs over their entire voltage range. An integral internal trimmer PCD models for DC outputs on some models allows cus- tomization of the control to a specific application by a simple turn of a screwdriver. Power and motor speed controls are extremely ver- satile from an AC source; either AC or DC outputs are possible with the appropriate model. Model PCA, AC output, has applications to control heaters (both resistive and infrared) and motors such as universal and shaded pole, and can replace transformers. (DC models have terminals at the rear of the unit which accept quick connectors.) Adjustable control range: On PCA and PCD models an inter- nal trimmer allows the starting point of the control voltage to be set anywhere within the stated trimmer voltage range with a screwdriver. Armature current: For PCD models, 500 mA min. for proper operation. Knobs/Dials: All power controls on this page accept part number 5000 dial and any knob with a quarter-inch hole (part num- bers 5102, 5103, 5103A, 5106, 5106A, 5107, 5109, 5109A, 5110, 5110A, 5111, 5111A, 5112, 5112A, 5116, 5116A, 5150, 5150A and 5152A) NOTE: For panel mount use under full power output conditions, the face of the control must be in contact with a metal panel.
