® BioFlo 110 Fermentor & Bioreactor You’ll love it for its mind. NEW BRUNSWICK SCIENTIFIC Where Quality and Innovation Have Become Tradition The most intelligent modular fermentor on earth. With the BioFlo 110, New Brunswick Scientific expands the fermentation universe. Every configuration of this autoclavable fermentation and cell culture system — from modest entry point to fully loaded — is built around a controller so intelligent that using it takes little more than common sense. Add exceptional power and cost-effectiveness, and the BioFlo1 10 is not just the smartest choice, but very probably the only choice. With the Gas Mix Controller, blend Easily change the setpoint or 4-gasses to gently regulate pH & graph range dO , or choose 100% of one gas 2 for probe calibration Intelligent design. We’ve done some ordinary things in extraordinary ways: • Self-illuminated display provides bright text and graphics • Removable plug at the end of the sparge ring facilitates cleaning • O-ring at the bottom — not the top — of each port prevents contamination from reaching the vessel • Heat blankets with two large cut-outs and a reflective white inner surface make it easy to view the culture in non-jacketed vessels • Water-jacketed vessels provide gentle, uniform temperature control in a space-saving design • Slip-on motor self-aligns with drive shaft. No pre-alignment needed • Complete vessel assemblies include correctly-sized rotameters • Dished-bottom vessels have no mixing dead zones, even at low agitation speeds • pH and DO probes can be adjusted to any immersion Out of the length box and ready to go. • Controller changes The BioFlo 110 is surprisingly easy to set up, and from “Fermentation” equally easy to expand as your needs grow. The to most basic kit includes a Primary Control Unit “Cell Culture” and Power Controller to manage temperature mode with a and agitation. Addi-tional control modules single touch are recognized automatically — no configu- • Original factory ration required. settings can be easily recalled Of course the BioFlo 110 controller also commu- nicates with computers. Use one of our ® BioCommand software packages to automate data collection and supervise your cultures. You won’t easily outgrow the BioFlo 110’scapabilities. NEW BRUNSWICK SCIENTIFIC Where Quality and Innovation Have Become Tradition Select “Fermentation” or “Cell Culture” mode, and one of four display languages Meet the mind behind the machine. The controller at the heart of the BioFlo 110 fermentor is a leap to a new level of user- friendliness. Its big, bright display uses plain English (or plain French, German or Spanish) to clearly show you what’s going on in the vessel. Calling up a graph or changing a set point is just a touch away. Perfectly natural and intuitive to use, the BioFlo 110 is designed to let you concentrate on your culture. In making it easy to use, we did not forget about capability. Growing mammalian cells? Bacteria or yeast? Alternating? No problem. One touch lets you instantly tailor control responses to suit the applica- tion. Want to add a second vessel? A third or fourth? The 32-loop BioFlo 110 Primary Control Unit supports up to four independent vessels and their loop con- trollers. Simultaneously. Advanced users can change P-I-D values and cascade options, choose dead-band or P-I-D control — always with the knowledge that you can return to factory settings quickly and easily. Advanced users may modify control response by altering “dead-band” and control gains Features. • Choose temperature control via water-jacketed vessels (shown above) or heat blanket • User can select P-I-D or adjustable dead-band control for pH • Adjustable P-I-D values for pH and Dissolved Oxygen • One Primary Control Unit controls up to four vessels • Built-in PCU floppy-drive makes future firmware upgrades “do-it-yourself” simple • Computer-ready with built-in BioCommand and Modbus serial protocols • Clean, reliable surface seals provided in direct drive agitation systems • Optional magnetic drives for critical cell culture applications Decisions, decisions, decisions… made easy. To make the BioFlo 110 as easy to buy as it is to use, we pre-configured several complete fermen- tation and cell culture kits. Very competitively- priced basic kits include automatic agitation and temperature controls, along with manual airflow. Advanced kits add pH/DO, 4-gas, foam controls and more. Individual components can also be added at any time to meet your changing needs. So, let us show off our brainchild. The moment you take the controls, you’ll see why the BioFlo 110 is the intelligent choice. GO TO SOURCE
When I can't find an obsolete part, I first call GID and they'll come up with my parts every time. Great customer service and follow up as well. Scott emails me from time to time to touch base and see if we're having trouble finding something.....which is often with our 25 yr old equipment.
