It easily snaps into the rear panel of the cPS series of PICMG 2.16-compliant CompactPCI system plat- forms such as the cPS-4801 4U general-purpose packet switched platform. The cRT-455P routes all cabling out the back of a system, and provides access to two RS-232 serial port connectors, a PS/2 keyboard/mouse port (requires a "Y" splitter cable), as well as VGA video and USB sig- nals from the host processor blade. The two rear panel Ethernet LEDs indicate link and status activity only, and do not provide connection for Ethernet cables. An internal, secondary IDE channel supports either two IDE devices simultaneously or one when a Type I/II CompactFlash card is installed. Power for the IDE device can be drawn from an onboard power connector (J8) when the supplemental power is available from an additional power connector (J9). A floppy drive connector and power connector are provided. Two LEDs on the faceplate indicate IDE, HD or CompactFlash, device and hot swap activity. The BMC on the SBC sends information to the hot swap LED indicating when it is safe to remove the rear panel board. The cRT-455P features two push-button switches on the faceplate - one to reset the host SBC and one to issue a NMI. The lower ejector mechanism incorporates a hot swap ejector switch.
