Part of DTI's industrial rack- mount chassis product family, the system provides exceptional capacity and expandability in a rack-efficient 4U, compact package ideal for applied computing applications. The modular design supports reliability and serviceability. The CRM/FTS-4194 chassis is highly configurable by offering a floppy drive and three front accessible 5.25" drive bays to accommodate RAID solutions. An additional, internal 3.5" hard drive bay is available with the single 425W power supply. A USB port, power on/off switch, hard drive activity and power on LED indicators complete the front panel. The compact 14-slot chassis features an open architecture design that supports industry standard PICMG single board computers and full-length I/O cards. Several backplane options are available to fit the need of the application. For high performance applications, DTI offers a backplane that supports up to nine 64-bit PCI slots running up to 66MHz for high performance I/O Cards. Other backplanes are available that support anywhere from four to twelve 32-bit/33MHz PCI slots and up to eight ISA slots. Constructed of heavy-duty steel, the CRM/FTS-4194 chassis has an easily removable top cover for ease of configu- ration, installation, and maintenance of the SBC and add-in cards. DTI has also designed the chassis to support high reliability, availability and serviceability (RAS) environments with redundant components. Two front 120mm fans, with replaceable filter, provide excellent cooling for today's high performance CPUs and expansion cards. DTI's single board computers monitor the fans and the case temperature and can trigger an alarm (LED) if the thermal conditions are out of range. Power is provided by either a single 460W power factor corrected or redundant 450W AC (or DC) ATX universal power supplies. Rackable and stackable with a small footprint and compatible with Diversified Technology's LBC full-length SBC's, the CRM/FTS-4194 industrial chassis is the space-saving choice for OEMs addressing medical/laboratory/imaging, indus- trial control and automation, data acquisition, COTS military/aerospace, and communication, Internet/intranet infra- structure markets.
