MDV Specifications: Mobile Digital Video System Compact Video Camera(s) All models of the front-facing video cameras are capable of capturing high quality images at up to 30 frames per second. The cameras also feature 10x optical power zoom, 4x or 12x digital zoom (depending on model), auto focus, automatic white balance, high sensitivity in low-light conditions and a software interface for camera control. The optional rear facing, IR color, wide angle camera captures both audio and video of rear seat passengers in low lighting conditions (zero lux). Wireless Microphone System The body-worn microphone has a maximum range of 1000 feet and can operate up to 8 hours continuously (14 days standby) on a single charge. The 2.4 GHz transceiver operates on one of forty secure channels minimizing interference with other wireless devices. Mobile Digital Video Recorder, Tethered to On-board Computer System The ruggedized Mobile Digital Video Recorder (MDVR) encodes the incoming audio and video signals utilizing MPEG-4. Eight (8) alarm inputs allow for trigger-based recording and as all of the video encoding is handled by the MDVR, fewer resources are taken from your mobile computer system. Stand Alone Mobile Digital Video Recorder (SAMDVR) Data911 also offers a stand alone ruggedized Mobile Digital Video Recorder which is independently powered and does not require an on-board computer. As with the tethered system, it encodes the incoming audio and video signals utilizing MPEG- 4 compression and has the same eight (8) alarm inputs which allow for trigger-based recording. The SAMDVR’s features are generated by a Celeron 1.5 GHz embedded system, operating from solid state media. The system’s footprint is similar to the Data911 M6 CPU. The external 1.5 DIN control head features a 3.5” VGA touch screen and separate control buttons. The MobileVid System MobileVid front-end software provides live viewing of the in-vehicle camera and review of audio/video data. The user interface is optimized for touch-screen functionality and features large buttons and controls.
