A small stator decreases the diameter of the hub which in turn increases the air flow when compared to fans of similar thickness. The IC sensor is positioned with tight tolerances on the PC board with no angle of deflection. The plastic bobbin (spool that the coils are wound on) offers excellent insulation properties and is molded to assure exact positioning of the sensor and the magnetic lamination. The exact position of the sensor is critical in order to avoid dead-lock caused by an incorrect induction angle while the rotor is rotating. All of our DC fans are supplied with lead wires only. This is a to help ensure the proper wiring of the fan. This attention to detail is what sets CROUZET fans apart from the competition. AC Axial Fans Our AC axial fans are powered by a reliable shaded pole motor. The frame is made of die cast aluminum with the impeller being made from thermoplastic. The motor is impedance protected and carries the logos of all pertinent safety agencies as well as the CE mark. They are available with either tab terminals or lead wires. Noise Data Acoustical measurements are made at a distance of 1.0 meter from the intake side of the fan in a semi-anechoic chamber. Air Flow Performance Data The performance data is determined in accordance with AMCA standard 210-74 on a double chamber test set up with measurement on the exhaust. Overload Protection All Crouzet fans have an integrated protection against a locked rotor condition. This ensures that there can be no damage to the windings and electronic components. Restart is automatic once the blockage is removed. Bearing Systems All Crouzet fans have specially designed precision sleeve bearings which are lubricated for long, maintenance free performance with low noise levels. Sleeve bearings offer better life in applications that are subject to shock. For high ambient temperature applications or applications that require long life, we also offer ball bearings. It is worth noting that while ball bearing fans do offer longer life, the noise will increase over the life of the fan whereas a sleeve bearing will remain fairly constant until just before end of life cycle.
