The PCI-1610/1612 provides four optional surge protection RS-232 (PCI-1610), RS-232/422/485 ports (PCI-1612) and a number of functions such as: high transmission speed 921.6 Kbps, four independent RS-232/422/485 ports, optional surge protection etc. The PCI-1610/1612 also comes with high-performance 16PCI954 UART with 128-byte FIFO to reduce CPU load. These components makes your system 8 more stable and reliable. Thus, the PCI-1610/1612 is especially suitable for multitasking environments. eConnectivity PCI-1612U has a universal PCI connector that is compatible with both newer 3.3V signaling systems and the traditional 5V signaling system. This gives highly-compatibility and allow usage in diverse systems. 9 To improve the performance of the system, the PCI-1610/1612 allows transmission rate up to 921.6 kbps. To further increase reliability, The PCI-1610B/1612B offers surge protection ICOM technology, protecting your system from abrupt high voltage up tp 3,000 V . Besides, Advantech also provides a convenient utility program, ICOM Tools, to help users test the PCI DC card performance by analyzing the port status. It’s easy to use the menu commands and toolbar buttons. ICOM Tools acts as a PC-based data scope that lets you set a trigger condition, captures the communication data and monitors the signal status.
