The optional 1-D / 2-D barcode scanner lets users collect information efficiently and communicates with back-end host data servers seamlessly through 802.11b and Bluetooth. Wireless connectivity with peripheral devices such as portable printers or other devices is supported. To cope with harsh environments, MARS-1030 is rated as IP54 water and dust resistant. It is also designed for ruggedness and can withstand a 1.5 meter (5 ft) drop on concrete.
